Terms of Service
Last updated: whenever someone finally reads this far.
By using Backroad ADV you agree to the following extremely standard, extremely boilerplate terms. This is a small riding-group site run for fun, not a law firm's idea of a good time, so treat this as the generic version rather than something written specifically for you.
The short version
Be a decent human. Don't post anything illegal, don't harass anyone, don't upload content you don't have the right to share. Ride your own ride — nothing here is riding instruction, mechanical advice, or a guarantee that a route someone posted is safe, legal, or still passable.
Accounts
Keep your login to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account. If you find someone else's account open on a shared computer, closing it is more useful than screenshotting it.
Content you post
You keep ownership of whatever you post (photos, routes, ride discussions). By posting it here, you're giving the site permission to display it back to other members, which is sort of the whole point of a shared site. Don't post anything you don't actually have the rights to.
No warranty, no liability, the usual
This site is provided "as is," which is boilerplate for "it's a hobby project and things might occasionally break." Nobody involved is liable for lost data, a bad ride, a wrong GPX file, or anything that happens off a screen and on an actual motorcycle. Riding has inherent risk; a website cannot remove that risk no matter how nicely it's designed.
Changes
These terms might change occasionally. You'll know because absolutely nothing will announce it, same as every other website's terms page.
